How does the Macrofocus TreeMap license work?

Each Macrofocus TreeMap license is associated with a unique key-code registered under your user name that allows you to access the software.

Can I use Macrofocus TreeMap with the same license at work and at home?

A licensed user can run Macrofocus TreeMap on different computers, regardless of location, provided that Macrofocus TreeMap is not run concurrently on more than one computer. For example, you can run Macrofocus TreeMap on your workstation at the office, OR on your laptop at home. But if you bring your laptop to the office, you may NOT run Macrofocus TreeMap on both your laptop AND your workstation at the same time.

Can I run Macrofocus TreeMap on different operating systems with the same license?

Do you apply cumulative pricing to volume purchases?

No, each license order is transactional. Orders for 5 or more licenses qualify for volume discounts. To learn more, please contact us

We are a non-commercial organization. Do we qualify for an academic license?

No. Non-profit companies fall under regular commercial licensing.

What is the difference between an academic and a commercial license?

Academic licenses are only available to students and teaching staff of educational institutions. Use of a fully-functional version of Macrofocus TreeMap under an academic license is restricted to educational purposes.

A commercial license may be used for personal or commercial use.

Can I transfer my license?

No. Use of the software is restricted to a licensed customer with no right to transfer. Companies and organizations can only move their licenses between employees and contractors.

Do I need to renew my Macrofocus TreeMap license?

Your license is perpetual to the purchased Macrofocus TreeMap version. No renewal is required.

How often should I upgrade my Macrofocus TreeMap license?

Only major releases of Macrofocus TreeMap require upgrades. Upgrades are optional and they are 40% off the full license price.

What are the evaluation license restrictions?

An evaluation license is designed for a 30-day trial of the software. You can only use the software for testing purposes during your trial.

Can I distribute the output in a publication?

You fully own what you have produced with our software and you are therefore allowed to publish them without our consent nor any obligation to cite TreeMap (although that is always welcome!). However, this is not permitted during the evaluation period.
